Masters 4th round Head to Head

2012 Top 5 Masters Individual Matchups

After 1-3-1 record on Saturday, I am definitely looking to rebound. I am trying to tell myself that making up 2 shots in the final 2 holes of the last match yesterday will serve as a kick-start for Sunday at Augusta!

Rickie Fowler (+120) over Keegan Bradley
Lets see if Fowler indeed has the “go for broke” game suited for Sunday at Augusta.

Sang-Moon Bae (+130) over Brandt Snedeker
Bae is way too consistent round to round to be this big of an underdog.

Fred Couples (+115) over Jason Dufner
Liked it on Saturday, like it again on Sunday.

Sean O’Hair (even) over Fredrik Jacobson
No reason I can see for O’Hair to be an underdog in this match-up.

Matt Kuchar (even) over Hunter Mahan
Match-up of heavyweight Americans, Kuchar seems to be hitting it close this week.

2012 Top 5 Masters Individual Matchups

Fresh from another 3-2 record, here are 5 straight-up wagers on underdogs that I am taking for Saturday’s third round:

Fred Couples (even) over Jason Dufner
I’ll begin right with the final group, gotta take Augusta Freddy right here.

Graeme McDowell (-105) over Brandt Snedeker
Sneds has been all over the board with his game this week, I’ll take G Mac here.

Henrik Stenson (+120) over Nick Watney
Stenson fought back pretty nicely on Friday even carding a “3” on 18.

Miguel Angel Jimenez (+140) over Matt Kuchar
No reason I can see for Jimenez to be this big an underdog.

Scott Verplank (+120) over Martin Laird
Some guys seem to age well at Augusta, and Verplank seems one of those guys.

Masters 2nd Round Head to Head

April 6, 2012 · by interlockedgolf

Coming off of a 3-2 record, here are 5 straight-up wagers on underdogs that I am taking for Friday’s second round:

Ian Poulter (even) over Zach Johnson
Clever match-up here, I like Ian’s ball striking right now.

Bill Haas (even) over Bo Van Pelt
Too early to declare Haas having a FedEx Cup hangover; I just like his game.

Martin Kaymer (-105) over Nick Watney
Two guys that cashed for me Thursday, I like where Kaymer is headed just a bit more.

Martin Kaymer (even) over Adam Scott
Like what I see as Kaymer’s momentum  a lot more than I like an A. Scott bounce back.

Paddy Harrington (+125) over Steve Stricker
Harrington is a HUGE underdog here. Too much value to pass up.

2012 Top 5 Masters Individual Matchups

Having just posted my “Odds to Win” the 2012 Green Jacket, here are 5 straight-up wagers that I am taking for Thursday’s opening round:

Geoff Ogilvy (+120) over Matt Kuchar
Love Ogilvy’s long high irons at Augusta.

Ross Fisher (+105) over Ryan Palmer
With Fisher’s major experiences, I gotta admit this one surprises me.

Martin Kaymer (Even) over Bo Van Pelt
I swear that this is not anti-American sentiment, just good value for a recent #1.

Nick Watney (+115) over Luke Donald
We are just dipping our toe into April and to me its way to early to bury Watney.

Jim Furyk (+120) over Lee Westwood
I’ve gotta be honest this Furyk being this big an underdog just doesn’t make any sense.

Masters – Odds to Win

Masters Week is here!!!

Amongst the golfing community this is a Holy Week as you know, within the gambling set this serves as a week to take notice of our sport and try to make some green off of the pursuit of the Green Jacket.

Here’s where my money will be for the “futures” bets; I will be posting my “head to head” matchups soon after the pairings are released:

Ten $10 wagers:

Geoff Ogilvy (10 for $800)
Hits his long irons with tremendous ease and a high trajectory.

Adam Scott (10 for $250)
Whether its the belly putter or Steve Williams, seems to be around every leaderboard.

Nick Watney (10 for $400)
The classic under the radar due to slow start guy here.

Gary Woodland (10 for $1000)
When he slows down, let me know.

Jim Furyk (10 for $600)
Playing well!

Martin Kaymer (10 for $600)
Remember this Guy? I haven’t forgotten him.

Steve Stricker (10 for $500)
Guys like Weir, Immelman, and Zach Johnson have won here.

Matt Kuchar (10 for $500)
Has the chops to get it done.

Martin Laird (10 for $1250)
Great value for one of the top 20 talents on tour.

Jason Day (10 for $400)
Great value for one of the top 10 talents on tour. (Recent results not indicative…)

My top 5 head to head matchups posted in the coming days.
